You can't help but be impressed when you walk in the Waterhead Hotel. The décor is contemporary with hints of beautiful rich colour. Calming music greets you and spacious areas where you can sit and take in the wonderful ambience of the place. You would think you were in a chic city hotel only to be reminded when you look out of the window, there sits the stunning Lake Windermere and the mountains beyond. One can understand how it won Hotel of The Year!

The dining room is breathtaking with its subtle blue lighting, chandeliers and 'Boudoir Elegance' . We were lucky enough to experience the culinary delights at table 17, a cosy table for 2 with lake view.

The bedrooms are spacious and stylish with all you could wish for.. flat screen TV/ DVD/CD, huge kingsize bed, great bathroom with under floor heating, nice toiletries and fluffy gowns. Champagne can be arranged for you ready for your bubble bath and Favourite CD.

Great contemporary hotel.. Just what The Lakes has been waiting for..

The light-filled interior has glossy oak floors, walnut panelling, chandeliers, leather seating and bold prints of flowers.
You won't find anywhere else like it in the Lakes.
The Guardian

A boutique hotel on the northern tip of Windermere. The styling is impeccable, the views are better, and they lay
on in-room binoculars and a cormorant or two for you to watch from your pillow.
The Times

Swish, stylish interiors - all matt prune-coloured walls, grey suede and polished maple - are frankly metropolitan.
The Guardian

The region's first townhouse hotel; designer bathrooms and binoculars to watch the wildlife.
