This lovely hotel is centrally located in the heart of Royal Tunbridge Wells. The elegant house is impressive on arrival with its dark wood floors, round velvet sofa and fireplace around which are strewn various bottles from famous wine houses.
Off the entrance hall to the left is the Dom Perignon Lounge, where deep sofas and comfy armchairs are arranged around tables and in front of the fireplace. Then there is The Burgundy Bar, with its stylish leather or velvet covered chairs and central table strewn with newspapers and magazines. The Bistro runs along the rear of the ground floor, with French doors that open onto the terrace and garden for diners to enjoy their meals and drinks ‘al fresco’ on warm, dry days. The Havana Room is home to a full-size billiard table and very impressive stock of Cuban cigars, providing a perfect place in which to relax with a digestif.
The bedrooms are large and airy, with walls painted in chalky hues and heavy-curtained windows. Divine Egyptian bed linen, slate coloured silks and glossy floors make it a very peaceful environment to relax and enjoy.
