Hotel du Vin is fashioned from a row of eight Georgian-styled houses and overlooks The Stray, 200 acres of peaceful public common in the centre of the town.
Enter the lobby to be greeted by the purple-baize billiard table and comfy seating looking to a spacious exterior courtyard. On the other side is the Champagne & Claret Bar and classic French-style Bistro. In the middle of all this is a swirling staircase of wood and steel that flows down to the lower ground floor Cellar Snug, where guests can relax in the comfy sofas or wander into the glass walled wine cellar, with 600 bins, to see their bottle being selected.
The Bistro forms the heart of the public area rooms. Leather banquettes, dark wood tables and mural copies of famous nudes on the walls, serve as the backdrop for the high quality bistro cuisine.
The highlight of the hotel’s 43 bedrooms are the four spectacular Loft Suites; The’ Moet Vintage Collection’ offers the ultimate experience. This vast bedroom spans the whole end of the building and easily accommodates a giant bed, huge sofa and 42” plasma screen television and an amazing bathroom.
Harrogate boasts extremely good shopping, with countless independent shops making it a perfect ‘boutique Getaway’.
